The fifth edition of Ekrani i Artit Film Festival was a fusion of documentary film, video art,
exhibitions, music performances creating a network of meetings and collaborations between a
local and international art scene.
Conceived as a scene for dialogue among spaces for arts and culture in Shkoder, among which
Migjeni Theatre, Marubi National Museum of Photography, The Civic Gallery, The Historical
Museum, Bed Station Corner, Arka Youth and Shkodra lake screenings, most of the film
screenings took place in various courtyards throughout the city, with Robert Bisha musical
performances accompanying the pre-screenings.
A special place was dedicated to the Italian artist Maria Lai with her solo show “The Blue
Ribbon” at Art House, the documentary “Sulle traccie di Marie Lai” (2019) followed by a talk with
the film’s director Maddalena Bregani, and a presentation of works at Arka Youth Center
created by students of three schools from Albania and Italy and inspired by the artist.
A video mapping on the Shkodra Cathedral’s façade by the artist Lek M. Gjeloshi marked
the end of a four-days intensive event.
